1. MKCG Medical College

The Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College & Hospital, Brahmapur, Ganjam, Odisha, also popularly known as MKCG Medical College and Hospital, is a Government Medical College and Hospital which started functioning in 1962 as a medical college and 1966 as a hospital. Subsequently, both the Medical College and the attached Hospital were renamed after the Late Maharaja of Parlakhemundi, Ganjam, Krushna Chandra Gajapati, as the Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College & Hospital.

2. SCB Medical College

Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital is a government-run medical college in Cuttack in the Indian state of Odisha. It is the premier medical institution in Odisha and one of the oldest centers of medical teaching and training in India. It is located near Mangalabagh area in the heart of the city Cuttack with a sprawling campus of 87.32 acres (353,400 m2). It has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) as an ideal undergraduate institution facilitating education and training in super specialty subjects under medical and surgical disciplines.

3. VSS Medical College

Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR)previously known as Veer Surendra Sai Medical College and Hospital (VSSMCH) is a premier government-run medical college and hospital in the Indian state of Odisha. Established in 1959, it is one of the oldest institutes in Odisha for imparting highly specialized medical education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. VSS, as it is popularly known, is recognized, regulated and monitored by the Medical Council of India (MCI) in charge of the medical education of India. In 2009, the college celebrated its golden jubilee.

4. Hi-Tech Medical College

Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital (HMCH)is a private, profit, self-financing medical institution based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital is functioning from 2005 under Utkal University affiliation and recognized by Medical Council Of India. It is Odisha’s first private medical college.[1][2] It has 400 Teaching beds with state of the art operation theatres along with 20 intensive care beds with 24hrs with high-tech trauma care facility. College offers MBBS and BDS course for duration of 5 years and also Post Graduation for duration of 3 years. The Hi Tech Medical College in Rourkela is barred from admissions for a period of 2 years.

5. IMS and SUM Hospital

The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and Sum Hospital is the medical school of the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. This institute gained permission in 2007 from Medical Council of India to start the MBBS courses in medical stream. It provides undergraduate courses in medicine and dentistry, and postgraduate courses in non-clinical departments. It has begun providing post graduation in clinical subjects like surgery and anesthesia.It provides speciality services including cardiology, neurology, nephrology, plastic surgery and neo-natalogy.

6. KISS

Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is the medical school of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. This institute began offering MBBS courses in medical stream courses in 2007. The idea of a medical college was conceived by Achyuta Samanta.[citation needed] Construction of the college building was completed in 2004, the faculties were appointed. Initially, the hospital was a makeshift facility in the Godown area of the former MAGNETIC company. This hospital was extended to take up more indoor patients and service was improved.In June 2005 the new hospital building was complete. The hospital acquired new equipment like a CT scan. 2006 saw the beginning of the inspection processes by the MCI and in June 2007 KIMS was formally given permission to start MBBS course.The institute was earlier affiliated to Utkal University, however in 2009 in came under the ambit of KIIT University. In 2013, KIMS got permanent affiliation from Medical Council of India (MCI).

7. Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital

Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital is a full-fledged tertiary Government Medical college in Baripada, Odisha. It was established in the year 2017. The college imparts the degree Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).The college is recognised by Medical Council of India. The hospital associated with the college is one of the largest hospitals in the Mayurbhanj district. The selection to the college is done on the basis of merit through National Eligibility and Entrance Test. Yearly undergraduate student intake is 100. The college was inaugurated in 2017 by Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik.

8. AIIMS

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar (AIIMS Bhubaneswar), formerly Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose All India Institute of Medical Sciences, is a medical college and medical research public university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. The Institute operates autonomously under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

9. Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital

Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College And Hospital , also popularly known as SLN Medical College and Hospital, is a government medical college and hospital located in Koraput, Odisha, India. The hospital has its roots in a dispensary established in 1908. The college was inaugurated in 2017. The hospital has its roots in a dispensary established in Koraput district in 1908. It was upgraded to a hospital in 1937 and moved to its present building in 2004. In 2017 it was renamed after freedom fighter Laxman Nayak and inaugurated as a medical college, the first such college to be inaugurated in Odisha since the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in 1962, and the fourth government run institute in the state.
